Overview of the Axie market
In the previous newsletter, we looked at the dynamics of Axie Origin economics. Let's now move on to another concern that affects a significant portion of current NFT owners:
What are the alternatives for your idle NFTs?
Today, there is significant idleness of Axies once the current user base requires less than the actual base of existing Axies. The majority of those idle assets are actually floor and intermediate Axies which may be a bit more challenging to manage. Actually, more than 90% of the total existing base are idle Axies (10.4M), 7% have been used to play (849.1K) and another 2% are on sale in the marketplace (243.7K).
Total Axie/owners base
Axies on sale - last 30D
Active players - last 30D
The total Axie supply base is 11.5 million, and the owner's supply base totals 2 million addresses, with an average of 5.6 Axies per wallet. Nonetheless, several wallets have considerably more idle NFTs, as in the case of some guilds and individuals who have stopped interacting with the game.

Listing your NFT is probably the easiest decision because there is no need to spend time looking for good players to play with and managing their engagement once the listing marketplace will do it for you.
Listing your NFTs
Actually, listing idle NFTs is a fairly new concept. Most people are still unsure whether this alternative is feasible, how to implement it, or what the benefits are. We at LootRush support NFT owners by offering the best solution for combining their Axies based on data and analytics from our marketplace as well as our in-game expertise.
NFT owners can submit their game accounts to our listing page, and our team will review each game account and organize the best team composition.
We work with game accounts without requiring access to a private key or requesting owners to gift their NFTs, so the assets and earnings are safe. Players will be able to apply for a team and play with it, but they will not be able to access in-game assets. This is a crucial point to remember when listing your NFTs.
Step by step on listing your idle Axies:
NFT owners and Guilds submit their game accounts via a listing page and set the desired earning percentage;
Game accounts get organized based on the best team composition for the marketplace listing;
If there are multiple team compositions that would yield results, the NFT owner/guild is notified about the additional accounts to create with the specific Axies;
After the team compositions are determined, the listings are created and linked to the account submissions to be approved;
Once approved, the teams will be available on the marketplace, and players can be assigned to the accounts.
LootRush NFT owners can track players' performance on the listing page by analyzing the status of each team, the last battle date, the total number of battles, and vstars.
Aside from listing, there is also the concept of supply upgrade.
What are the advantages of upgrading your supply?
It is common to find Axie owners with several idle assets who are unsure what to do with them. The reason could range from not wanting to sell or give them away due to the current market value, but it is still prudent to consider upgrading your inventory or a fraction of it for a new meta supply. It entails swapping floor Axies for new meta teams, and there are a few reasons why you should consider it.
Lack of good supply: The scarcity of high-level supply during season 1 was caused by the competitive nature of the Origin AXS prize system. To achieve the top of the leaderboard, players must acquire better assets/runes and charms as the season progresses. This is one of the primary issues causing a demand-supply imbalance for those assets. Regardless of how meta changes, good supply will remain difficult to find and expensive if the AXS prize structure remains unchanged for the next season. So meta supply is a good bet.
Build level vs. demand: We found some correlations between build level and demand generation with listed assets. We work hard at LootRush to always create higher-end demand, and we've found that it varies depending on the level of the build. More experienced players typically use higher-end builds, while less experienced players use intermediate and basic builds. If the teams listed are mostly intermediate and basic builds, it's not uncommon for some players to be assigned and then removed within a few days due to poor performance or inactivity.
A lower churn rate for players playing meta teams: According to our findings from Season 1, the churn rate for meta players after seven days is more than three times lower than non- meta players. We know top players (users with 1200 or more vstars) will almost certainly choose meta teams, and this group has an even lower churn rate: more than five times lower after the first week.
Upgrade Axies is an inspiring concept that incentivizes current, past, and future players to explore new value creation paths from their ownership, but due to the complexity and multiple possibilities, it requires sophisticated detail to build.
If you want to succeed, make sure you have the best data and orientation by following the teams that top players are currently playing for and constantly checking what dedicated discussion groups have been sharing about it. Twitter, Reddit, and Discord may be useful information sources for insights.
Another alternative for using your idle Axies is to get on track with the Axie Builders Program which is currently developing and releasing more than ten new mini-games in which players can use existing Axies.
Axie Builders Program
The Builders Program is an initiative that will unlock more utility for your idle Axies because it will be forming partnerships with major game studios to develop mini-game experiences for Axie Infinity and Ronin. It is important to emphasize that the main rule for game developers to create new Axie experiences is to only allow for Axies the player owns to be used by the player in their game.
Projects in development will have a free version but some will also be subject to the same guild/scholarship system as Axie Infinity Origin, so there will be opportunities for those willing to list/share their NFTs to be played by new players.
Actually, there are five projects live in alpha, seven under development, and one closed testings:
Closed testing
Mech Infinity: Battle Royal game in which the users/holders of Axies can acquire Axies Mech and participate in battles with a chance to win rewards such as SLP and AXS.
